Cumbria and North East landlord Castles & Coasts Housing Association (CCHA) has named Marie Hardeman as its executive director of customers and communities.

Ms Hardeman has joined following the appointment of Dawn Clark as the 7,500-home landlord’s new chief executive.
Ms Clark was the housing services director previously, with that role being revamped for Ms Hardeman’s arrival.
Having held senior leadership roles in housing, local and central government, Ms Hardeman will be responsible for regulatory compliance and will be executive lead for customer complaints and equality, diversity and inclusion.
Ms Hardeman said: “I’m really passionate about making sure the services we deliver are right for our diverse customers, and that we’re delivering them in a way that meets their individual needs.
“I’ll continue to work with partner organisations and engage with our residents, so that we learn how we can continually improve our services to them and our communities.”
As part of her role, Ms Hardeman will also lead CCHA’s Transform Together programme, which seeks to enable residents and staff to improve their communication with the landlord.
She added: “Transform Together is an opportunity for us to develop new ways of working that empower our colleagues and provide the best service to our residents, and resident feedback will be key to its success.”
Ms Clark said: “I’m delighted to have Marie on board. Marie’s extensive experience, and passion and commitment to supporting residents and communities, shone through, making her the perfect candidate for this role.”
