A new director of care and support has been appointed by Radius Housing.

Greer Wilson joins the landlord from Praxis Care, where he held the role of director of care and development for Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man.

In that position, he is credited with playing “a significant role in shaping service delivery and supporting teams across a diverse range of care environments”.

As a qualified social worker, Mr Wilson brings more than 25 years of experience spanning children’s services, older people’s and dementia care, learning and physical disability services and complex needs.

His career includes over two decades with the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust, where he spent eight years as a senior manager overseeing learning and physical disability services, care management, daycare provision and supported living schemes.

Mr Wilson said: “I’m delighted to be joining Radius. It’s a very exciting time for the organisation and I look forward to working with new colleagues across the business.”

In a release, the landlord said: “Greer’s extensive leadership experience, deep sector knowledge and commitment to high-quality, person-centred support make him a strong addition to the Radius leadership team. 

“His insight and expertise will play a key role as Radius continue to strengthen and develop [its] care and support services.”

Radius Housing is one of Northern Ireland’s largest housing associations, providing more than 13,000 homes and delivering a wide range of care and support services across the region.

The landlord offers social and affordable housing, sheltered and supported accommodation and specialist schemes designed to help people live independently.
