Inside Housing Management has launched a survey about assaults in the social housing sector, asking front-facing staff to share their experiences #UKhousing

Inside Housing Management is asking social housing staff to take five minutes to fill out the survey, sharing their experiences of assaults while at work.

Inside Housing previously ran an assaults survey every year until 2019. We are reinstating it this year as part of Inside Housing Management’s drive to understand the biggest issues facing housing management staff.

The responses will be kept anonymous and will form part of a wider investigation into assaults on housing staff within the past decade, for which we are gathering data from councils and housing associations.

We are asking housing associations, via a separate survey, to submit anonymised figures on the numbers of housing staff who were assaulted each year between 2016 and 2025. We are also asking local authorities, via the Freedom of Information Act, to share the same figures.

Housing professionals and housing associations have until 25 July to complete the survey and hand in their information. The results will be published on Inside Housing Management and Inside Housing in August.
